Smart Business: Superior ACE Hardware

Farmers & Merchants Bank is proud to recognize Superior ACE Hardware as our “Smart Business” of the month.

Their name says “hardware” but over the past 23 years, owners Bob and Sue Trapp have turned their shop into a general store that serves as a cornerstone to small town life. Walking down the aisles, you’ll find the typical nuts and bolts alongside housewares, sundries and just about anything else you might need. After all, if Bob and Sue don’t have it, you’d have to travel a ways to find it.

The Trapps purchased the store in 1994, and have loved every minute of it. Their employees are like family. As Sue says, “Everyone is so dependable and we just couldn’t do what we do without them!”

Along with running the day-to-day operations, Bob and Sue are very active in the community. They have served on boards of various local organizations and are heavily involved in their church. This dedication to the community translates to the exceptional customer service they’re known for.
