Get an extra layer of security when you shop online.

Your Farmers & Merchants Bank Visa® debit card is equipped with password protection, also called Verified by Visa, that puts you in control of your purchases by approving them online using your private password. Click here to register your debit card in the Verified by Visa® program.

Activate While Shopping Online
When shopping at a Verified by Visa® participating merchant, you’ll be asked to register your debit card during checkout.

Here’s what to expect:

  1. Use your Visa® debit card to make a purchase
  2. Enter your account details
  3. Create a unique password
  4. Complete your purchase and you’re done

FraudWatch PLUS
With FraudWatch® PLUS, trained analysts watch for suspicious transaction activity on your debit card on your behalf—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

If needed, a fraud analyst will contact you immediately to verify the authenticity of your card transactions. So, if you get a call from Fraud Prevention Services, know that our people are doing their job in preventing potential misuse of your card. It’s important that Farmers & Merchants Bank has your current phone numbers so Fraud Prevention Services can reach you if suspicious activity is recognized on your account.

If you will be traveling internationally or outside of your normal geographic area, contact us first and we will make sure your card is working for you while you travel.

Note: Fraud Prevention Services will NEVER ask for the following information:

  • Your full card number
  • The expiration date on your card
  • Your card’s PIN
  • The CVC code on the back of your card
  • Your full Social Security Number

For lost or stolen debit cards outside of normal business hours, call 1-800-264-5578. During normal business hours, contact your local branch.
