Heart of a Hero: Kathy Schreiner of Weeping Water
This month’s Heart of a Hero is Kathy Schreiner. Kathy’s lived in Weeping Water for over 25 years and raised all four of her children here. Her husband, Rex, was raised in Weeping Water.
The Heart of a Hero program is a chance to spotlight and give recognition to those “under the radar” heroes. Anyone that’s met Kathy knows she fits the criteria. After hearing about her nomination, she said, “There are many volunteers in our community and to be selected is really an honor.”
Kathy loves giving back to a community that’s given her so much in her life. “I enjoy helping to make our community a place where people want to visit and where people want to live and raise their children. It is great to be able to give back to the people and the community that gives so much,” says Kathy.
She wants Weeping Water to be better for not only the current community but for generations to come. “I want to continue to make our community better. I want to make our community the place that everyone wants to come to. I want our community to be a place my grandchildren and our next generations can be proud of. There is no better place than Weeping Water,” says Kathy.
Kathy—we want to thank you for making Weeping Water the best place to live! You do so much for this community and we’re so appreciative.
Each month, we highlight a Heart of a Hero story on our website and our social media. As a Bank customer, you get to nominate a “Hero” you know. It could be anyone who deserves recognition for their good deeds. Nominate someone today.
