Carla Kohmetscher – Operations
Experience is of Great Value to the Team.
After 34 years in banking, Carla Kohmetscher’s expertise is “wearing many hats.” In fact, she started when Farmers & Merchants Bank was named Lawrence State Bank back in 1985.
Carla’s vast experience allows her to help customers on the teller line, open new accounts, work with the loan officer on loan files, and jump in on anything else that needs to be done. Her knowledge in all these different areas enables her to understand the workings of the Bank and how everything ties together. Important, indeed.
Not to mention, after many years, Carla knows pretty much everyone on the Bank’s team (along with their strengths and areas of expertise), spread from south central to southeastern Nebraska. They work together and help each other out when needed.
Carla’s very favorite part of the job is working with the customers and making sure their needs are being met. The great accounts, services and growing product lines make banking easier for the customers––which is also rewarding for Carla because she’s always looking for ways to improve to be the very best she can at her job.
A Treasure to the Bank and Community.
And, Carla’s been the treasurer of the Lawrence Community Club for many years! The club looks for ways to improve the community, as well as hosts events to bring people to town such as Shop at Home, Tour of Homes, Santa and the Easter Egg Hunt. She serves on the Lawrence Community/Fitness Center building committee, and volunteers and participates at her church in various ways, including in the choir. If it’s a soup dinner, benefit or fundraiser, Carla is usually involved.
For extra fun, Carla enjoys golfing, touring other cities, taking photographs and making memory photo books.
